SOLD JONDARYAN HOMESTEAD CIRCA 1844

FOR the owners of the historic Jondaryan Homestead, Denis and Pat Davey, the decision to sell wasn’t an easy one but it was time to move on to bigger and better things.

Mr Davey said he and his wife were very fortunate and would take away many good memories of the past six years they had spent renovating the homestead.

Despite the destruction of most of the original homestead (built in 1844) by fire, a number of buildings remain intact, including a kitchen which was built in 1844 and a butcher’s shop and stables from the 1860s.

The homestead was re-built in 1937.
